Alan is a believer in following your dreams. Alan is the Founder and King of Desserts for the award winning business A Goodman’s Desserts. A Goodman’s Desserts specialties include a Sugar Glazed Butter Cookie and a Bourbon Bread Pudding. He counts the NBA Milwaukee Bucks and Marquette University as clients. His business has been featured on WISN, TMJ4 and local and national news and magazines. Alan is also the Department Chair of the Quality Engineering program at Milwaukee Area Technical College where the focus is on teaching Operational Excellence. He also teaches the teen Sunday School class at his church. Leaning into his 20+ years experience as a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Alan just launched A Goodman’s Consulting, where he coaches Small and Medium size businesses through his Operational Excellence Bootcamps and Lean: How to do Everything Better High School camps. He is also a Faculty Member for the SPARC small business accelerator program at Scale Up MKE. His varied experience throughout his career include rolling out a Continuous Improvement organization, to implementing operational improvements for over 40 companies nationwide, to leading a Commercial Dental and Vision TPA business, to running a credit union. He is responsible for millions in savings from process improvement initiatives. He is an Hampton University and Temple University Alum holding a BS and MBA in Finance. Alan is also a life member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated. Alan just started a career as a Model and Commercial Actor. Fun Fact: He appeared as an extra in Rocky II as a child. Alan is a Philadelphia native who now resides in Milwaukee, WI for almost 20 years with his wife Lisa and their three children.
